As I sit and reflect on the fires I’ve faced,
The warfare, the pain, the broken heart’s space,
I see the adversary’s desperate design,
To take me out, to destroy what’s mine.
Not just me, but my brothers and sisters too,
He uses our suffering to distort what’s true.
He twists our pain to distract, to control,
To blind us to God’s care for our soul.
But our God, the Redeemer, wastes nothing at all,
He turns every tear into a purpose filled call.
Our pain becomes glory, a refining flame,
Preparing us as soldiers who bear His name.
The stretching, the proving, the trials we bear,
Are molding us, shaping us, His strength in the air.
His glory rests on those broken and tried,
In our weakness, His power will abide.
The enemy thrives when we’re lost in the ache,
When we’re focused on pain, it’s an idol we make.
We worship the suffering, the hurt, the despair,
Not discerning how God is already there.
When our focus drifts from His comforting hand,
We forfeit the joy, the peace He has planned.
We can’t see Him move, we can’t sense He’s near,
When we’re consumed by the weight of our fear.
I couldn’t see clearly, my vision was blurred,
Though God sent me comfort, His life-giving Word.
He spoke His promises, He whispered His care,
But I struggled with trust, lost in my despair.
We must grab hold of joy, refuse to let go,
It’s the fuel for the journey through trials we know.
With hope as our anchor, and faith as our guide,
We walk in His power, with Him by our side.
We must know our authority, the strength we possess,
Through Jesus, our Lord, who loves us the best.
Revenge on the enemy is ours to take,
Through our worship and praise, for His glory’s sake.
So when the fire burns, and the pain feels real,
Remember the truth that no thief can steal.
Our God is with us, His purpose is clear,
In every battle, His glory draws near.
