Hold On, and Look Up
We all face storms, trials, and pain,
The kind that soaks the soul like rain.
The more we obey, the purer we live,
The greater the sacrifice, the more we give.
With every “Yes” to the Lord we proclaim,
The attacks grow stronger, the trials the same.
Yet God doesn’t desire we walk around low,
Like we don’t trust the One who helps us grow.
Yes, there’s a season for tears to fall,
But if it’s beyond you, why not give Him your all?
Will you wallow in pity, let your spirit descend,
Or lift your eyes to where your help ascends?
Lay aside the weight, let heaviness go,
Release it in prayer, let His joy overflow.
The world may not know what you’re going through,
For joy is transferred when God carries you.
A wise sister once shared her advice:
“Keep your eye on the prize, stay focused on Christ.
Rebuke the lies, let go of the fight,
And praise the One who turns darkness to light.”
It’s not about us, it’s Him we adore,
What we endure opens another’s door.
Let your light shine, let your strength inspire,
Even when trials threaten to tire.
There’s power in prayer; believe He’ll move,
Let every step of faith your trust prove.
Don’t let what you can’t control take hold,
God’s hands hold the world, strong and bold.
If you fall in the pit, it’s hard to climb,
So take it to Jesus every single time.
Depression and trust can never reside,
When sobriety and joy in Him abide.
So bless the Lord, through pain and despair,
Take every burden to Him in prayer.
Trust in His timing, His love, His way,
For He holds your tomorrow and your today.
