I may be blind as I walk through this fire,
But I trust in my God, my heart’s desire.
He alone knows the end, the path He has laid,
And He will never leave me, I’m not afraid.
Obedience is better than sacrifice, the Bible say,
So I’ll walk with faith, in His will I’ll stay.
I won’t worry, for my prayers rise high,
And surely my God will answer my cry.
I’ve done all I can, now I choose to stand,
Quieting my thoughts, placing my life in His hand.
I silence my emotions, rebuke my flesh,
To hear His voice, to feel His breath.
The Holy Spirit rises, steady and strong,
Keeping me upright when all feels wrong.
The strength of the Lord rests over me,
For I refuse to let go of my joy, my key.
I am His, and He is mine,
Through this trial, His light will shine.
What I endure is spiritual, unseen,
But it’s working for good, for what’s yet to be.
He removes the poison, the toxic ties,
So I may flourish where beauty lies.
All I have is my faith, but it is enough,
Through Jesus, I stand when the road is rough.
I lift my eyes to the hills above,
For my help comes from the Lord of love.
He sees my tears, He’s counted each one,
And soon my harvest of joy will come.
So I choose now to hold my head high,
For I know my God, my El Shaddai.
Though the storm rages, His peace is near,
Through every trial, I feel Him here.
