Obedience Is the Invitation, Surrender Is the Key
My Beautiful Sisters,
Can I encourage you with something the Lord has been pressing into my spirit? Boldness in prayer is not arrogance, it’s assurance. It’s the quiet confidence that comes when you know Who you’re talking to. When you’ve been invited into the presence of the Most High God, you don’t tiptoe in with shame, you come boldly, because the veil has been torn and the invitation was sealed in blood.
But here’s what I’ve learned, boldness must be followed by obedience to God’s instructions! Whew. They don’t always make sense to our natural minds. In fact, they often feel completely unreasonable. He asks us to surrender things we’ve built our identity around. He calls us out of comfort and into the wild unknown. It doesn’t line up with logic, but it’s heaven’s strategy.
You see, radical obedience always brings supernatural results. But we can’t obey without surrender.
Surrender your plans.
Surrender your timing.
Surrender the outcome.
And don’t withhold anything.
Even the part of you that wants to control, especially that part.
Surrender and patience.
Two small words, but they are giants in the kingdom.
And let me be real with you, some days I feel strong and grounded, and other days? I feel emotional, overwhelmed, and completely heartbroken. There are moments I force my thoughts to focus on anything but the situation in front of me, just so I don’t collapse under the weight of it.
Yet even in that struggle, I hear the whisper of the Lord: Just be patient, daughter.
Sometimes I want to run. Sometimes I want to move ahead of God because this place is uncomfortable. But deep down, I know, rushing can delay what surrender will accelerate. I don’t want to add more time by pushing through in the flesh. I want to wait well. I want to grow in this quiet place.
So I bring everything to Him. Every emotion. Every question. Every desire to fix it myself. I lay it all at His feet, because that’s what I was made to do. I was designed to worship Him.
Sis, He’s calling us deeper. Past the outer courts where most stop. Past the Holy Place, and beyond the veil. That sacred space where not everyone gets to go, but you’ve been invited. And not because you earned it, but because He loves you.
Don’t treat this invitation lightly. Value it. Activate it. Respond to it.
Go beyond. Go deeper. Go empty. Go surrendered.
And there, beyond the veil, you’ll find that what you thought you needed to fix was already being handled by the One who simply needed your yes.
With love and surrender,
Your Sister in Christ
